Classic cocktails in popular culture with a TEQUILA TWIST!

There are cocktails that become unforgettable because of the delicious mix of flavors and ingredients. People's favorites have been prepared a certain way for years... but who knew they could taste even better? At Casa Maestri we are happy to bring you this brief article with classic cocktail recipes and a twist of our delicious tequilas.

1. Old Fashioned with Reserva de MFM Añejo

This cocktail is usually prepared with Bourbon Whiskey, but you will be surprised by the delicious result when you try it with the robust flavor of Reserva de MFM's Añejo tequila.

In a mixing glass add:

  • Ice

  • 3 oz MFM Tequila Añejo Reserva

  • 1/2 oz Agave syrup

Stir well and then add:

  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters

  • 4 dashes of orange bitters

Stir again and then pour into a whiskey glass with more ice.

Add orange peel on top.


2. Mojito with Doña Celia Tequila Blanco

This Cuban drink is delicious and internationally known for its freshness. You will love this way of preparing it with blanco tequila:

Add in your shaker:

  • 1 1/2 oz grapefruit juice

  • 2 oz lime juice

  • 5 Mint leaves

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • Squeezed lime slice

Macerate everything. Then in a tall glass add:

  • Agave syrup and sugar for rim

  • Ice (a lot)

  • Macerated and fresh mint leaves

Strain the mixture in your shaker and pour it over your glass.

  • Add 2 oz of Doña Celia Tequila blanco.

  • Stir well and top with lemon-lime soda

Garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices, dry or fresh.


3. Tom Collins with Flask Spirits Blanco Tequila

The freshness of the classic Tom Collins is what makes this drink a favorite of so many people. Here we prepare it with Flask Spirits Tequila, one of the most delicious and versatile blanco tequilas on the market.

In a tall glass add:

  • 2 oz Flask Spirits Blanco Tequila

  • 1/2 oz Agave syrup

  • 1/2 oz Lime juice

  • Top with club soda

Stir well. Add an orange slice and a cherry for garnish.


4. Martini (Tequini) with TUYO Tequila

Martinis, oh martinis... The fashionable and elegant drink made with vermouth and gin that we see in the movies. Let's give it a twist with the best cristalino tequila, shall we?

There are too many ways to prepare tequinis, but today we're making the classic version.

In a shaker add:

  • 2 1/2 oz TUYO No.1

  • 1/2 oz vermouth

  • Ice

Shake for 45 seconds and pour over a martini glass with an olive / orange peel.

Tequinis can be spiced up with colored sweet juices, fruits or anything you want. The point of cristalino tequilas is that color will never be compromised.
